ASB Awareness Week 2026
ASB Awareness Week 2026 is here!
This ASB Awareness Week, we are talking about balance.
Too many victims and practitioners feel that the system gives more weight to the person causing harm than to the person living through it.
As we prepare to launch our research report on how courts balance perpetrator and victim needs, we will be using this ASB Awareness Week to:
-
Celebrating the work of Baroness Helen Newlove
-
Share insight into our upcoming research report on perpetrator vs victim needs in ASB court cases
-
Publish the results of our victim survey on why people don’t report ASB
-
Release a brand new information pack for victims and witnesses of ASB
-
Celebrate new sign ups to the ASB Help PLEDGE
How can you support ASB Awareness Week?
ASB procedures
- If you’re an organisation, consider your ASB procedures - are they up to date, do they align with the ASB principles?
- Has your organisation updated their ASB Case Review process in line with the updated statutory guidance?
- As an organisation, show your community your commitment to ensuring the victim is at the heart of your ASB Case Review process by signing up to The ASB Help PLEDGE.
Information pack for victims/witnesses
- If you’re a practitioner, consider sharing our new Information Pack with victims/witnesses of anti-social behaviour.
- This pack is designed for frontline practitioners e.g. police officers, housing officers, council staff, to share with victims/witnesses of ASB.
Raise awareness
- Display awareness materials – put up posters and leaflets in offices, GP surgeries, libraries to help people recognise and report ASB. You can find some of our resources below
- Use your voice on social media – engage with ASB Awareness Week content.
- Why not consider supporting a community drop-in? There will be lots of events happening across the country aiming to raise awareness of the impact of anti-social behaviour and how to address it.
