The Police and Crime Commissioner has commissioned a Victim’s Gateway which is a Citizens Advice Bureau consortium led service offering free advice and support to victims, witnesses and their families. http://www.snscab.org.uk/about-us/svg/
If you believe you are a victim of hate crime there is a charity operating in Staffordshire that can help called CACH (Chase Against Crimes of Hate). See their website for more information: http://www.cachpartnership.org.uk/
There is an Anti-social Behaviour Victim Champion across Stoke-on-Trent run by Victim Support to provide independent support and advocacy for victims of anti-social behaviour. This service is not advertised separately and is specifically for home-owners and private-rented victims. The service also exists in Newcastle-under-Lyme, receiving referrals from the Council and other agencies. The Staffordshire contact details for Victim Support can be found here: https://www.victimsupport.org.uk/what-we-do/local-services/west-midlands/staffordshire
In other areas you can always self-refer to Victim Support for local support and advice by calling 0808 1689 111.
ASB Help will always endeavour to work collaboratively with practitioners and partner agencies across England and Wales to promote and attain the best possible outcome for the victim. It is our hope that our expertise and experience will be used as an asset by practitioners in all cases that we consult on, however it must be noted that we do NOT have jurisdiction over local agencies and cannot compel partners to undertake specific action.
We will continue to offer objective advice to victims and practitioners alike and hope that in doing so we can promote best practice in ASB case management as well as raising awareness of victims rights.
