Independent local support for victims of Anti-Social Behaviour

There is a free and confidential service available to all victims of crime and anti-social behaviour across Nottinghamshire run by the organisation Catch 22.  See here for information on the service and how to contact them to access help and support.  Their website explains the types of support they offer:

“Victims of crime and anti-social behaviour benefit from enhanced help and support with a new-style service, designed around the needs of victims to help them cope and recover from their experience and empower them to become more resilient

  • Tailored emotional and practical support, advocacy and restorative justice determined through a ‘needs assessment’, focusing on the level of harm caused by the crime and the vulnerability of the victim.
  • A dedicated Caseworker providing one to one support to each victim, making it less stressful for them and reducing the number of times they are asked to tell their story
  • Access to restorative justice services arranged by the Caseworker, which could include facilitating dialogue with an offender. Restorative justice brings those harmed by crime or conflict and those responsible for the harm into communication, enabling everyone affected by a particular incident to play a part in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward”
